HRH (Handi Radio Ham) assists visual and physically challenged people to acquire a license in Amateur Radio giving them access to HF radio VHF/UHF as well as EchoLink, and IRLP communications. 

The club co-operates with Courage Handi Hams of Golden Valley, Minnesota and C N I B Amateur Radio Program

Handiradioham Amateur Radio Club of Canada is a non profit Organization (Charitable Registration # 846979755RR0001), donations to the club can be mailed to 19 Loyalist Drive, Welland, Ontario. L3C2X9. (Club Bylaws)

The Club is also seeking donations of amateur radio equipment. This equipment may be given by the Club to a needy ham or it may be sold to raise operating capital for club activities in pursuit of helping others. Tax deductible receipts can issued for such donations.

VINCE’S  ACCOMPLISHMENTS

I am Vincent DelleMonache, President of HandiRadioHams.  I am 68 years old and have been registered blind all my life (presently 3% vision).

I am having Dave Flarity, a director of this organization, write this letter because I only have a Grade Six education.

I am a member of RAC (Radio Amateurs of Canada) and a member of ARES (Amateur Radio Emergency Service).  As well, I am a member of CNIB (Canadian National Institute for the Blind) Amateur Radio Club, the Handi Ham Amateur Radio Society of Golden Valley, MN and the Niagara Independent Living Association.

Here are my accomplishments:

- founding member of the Welland White Cane Club in 1974

- in 1974 I was one of the first individual members on the Canadian National     Retinitis Pigmentosa Foundation of Canada (RP) located at 1 Spadina Circle in Toronto

- in 1975 we were the second charter member of the Retinitis Pigmentosa Foundation of Canada, called the Niagara Regional Chapter of the Retinitis Pigmentosa of Canada.  I was honourary President.

- Founding Director of the Welland Rose City Wireless Association

- Welland Rose City Festival Parade communication director 1995-2000

- Girl Guide Jamboree on the air 1983 – to the present.  Radio station in my house, girls came to my house to participate.
